We are looking for a dedicated HR Assistant to join our team in Mozambique. The HR Assistant will support the daily operations of the Human Resources department and ensure compliance with both organizational policies and Mozambican labor law.
Key Responsibilities
- Support visa issuance processes for expatriate staff.
- Assist in employee performance evaluations.
- Manage staff welfare and benefits (e.g., leave, attendance records).
- Monitor and report employee attendance and punctuality.
- Manage employment contracts and contract renewals.
- Support recruitment procedures (job postings, shortlisting, interview scheduling).
- Coordinate staff training and capacity-building programs.
- Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support for payroll preparation (leave records, overtime, etc.).
- Assist in communicating HR policies and procedures to staff.
- Prepare HR reports and documentation for management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience (NGO experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of Mozambican labor law and HR practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English.
